The SIAC presents the Lou Marli Award annually to
a Staten Islander/or group for their "long
time service to the Staten Island running community".
SITRAC has been awarded this recognition this year to honor each
individual member of SITRAC for their ceaseless efforts to bring a
high quality indoor track and field facility to Staten Island. As
runners, coaches and parents, members of the SIAC understand what a
valuable asset an indoor track will be to the future of running here
on Staten Island. The members of SITRAC have been working
tirelessly, and like Lou Marli, "they have put the SI community
and it's runners ahead of the curve". stated SIAC officer
Barbara North.
SITRAC is proud to receive this most important
award in the SI sports community.
