Report #14 From Outdoor World Championships

Post a comment

BERLIN , GERMANY. - Quick, get me a jacket, it's cold. Rain stopped but cold weather took over- many Europeans have their fall gear on.

Briefly, Allyson Felix ran away from Campbell-Brown on the strightawy, and Leshawn Merritt did the same thing to Jeremy Wariner in the 400.

Three U.S. women qualified for the final-Olympic champ Langat is out.

Men's 800 semis were murder, and very physical, with falls, bumps, etc.

Symmonds won his semi after a fall took out Kaki and others.

Second was won by Kamel, with Borzakovskiy second.

Third section saw Rudisha and Gary Reed get eliminated.

HJ won by Rybakov (Russia), with Cypriot second, and German and Pole tying for third.

Discus still going on, it's getting late, and it's cold.

And, the USA 4x100 got the stick around the track. Germany didn't. Jamaica ran a second team.

It's also Bolt's birthday, and the crowd sang Happy Birthday after the medal ceemony, while getting his WR bonus of $100,000. He pretended to cry. Quite the showman, but he's better on the track.
