SITRAC would like to congratulate
St. Joseph by the Sea senior Daniel Zaccariello and his coach Chris Mancusi for
qualifying for the Millrose Mile.
Zaccariello has been selected in
the ten man field that will run in the oldest Indoor Track Meet in the U.S. the
Millrose Games.The meet will be held on Fri. Jan. 29th at Madison Square Garden.
The race will be shown live on ESPN 2 in the 8-10PM time slot that
evening.
Staten Island has had the winner of
this mile race twice in it's history. Katie Peterson has won the girls race and
Kevin Jermyn has won the boys race. Both ran for Tottenville H.S.
Villa's 4 X 400Mt. relay qualified
for the CHSAA relay and Sea also made the CHSAA Boys 4 X 800Mt.
Relay.
In Youth events both Brandon
Freeman and Arielle Garcia ran on qualifying 4 X 200Mt. Relays that will run
earlier in the program.
